Designer and Project Manager
The Detroit Collaborative Design Center (DCDC) is a multi-disciplinary, nonprofit architecture, landscape design and urban design firm within the University of Detroit Mercy’s School of Architecture.
DCDC is dedicated to creating sustainable spaces and communities through quality design and the collaborative process. DCDC is seeking qualified candidates with a background in landscape architecture and/or architecture.
The Designer and Project Manager will be an integral part of the DCDC team, working directly with community stakeholders on architecture, urban design and/or landscape architecture projects. The Designer and Project Manager may also have the opportunity to teach in the School of Architecture.
Applicants should be interested in working collaboratively with community stakeholders and other project partners, and experience with community design is a plus. Additionally, they should be highly motivated, organized and self-directed, and they should be willing to mentor and work with Emerging Student Designers that work in DCDC each semester.
Candidates should also have 3 to 7 years of experience in landscape architecture and/or architecture. Must be proficient in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, AutoCAD, and SketchUp.
