About the Michigan ASLA Foundation
The Michigan Chapter ASLA Foundation was founded in 2021 as a 501(c)3 charitable organization that provides support in the form of scholarships, grants, and aid to Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) students and emerging professionals from historically underserved demographics who are pursuing a career in landscape architecture. The DEI Committee supports the work of the Foundation and the Michigan ASLA chapter by focusing on initiatives aimed at recruitment, retention, mentorship, training, outreach, special events and community discussions for our students, members, and communities, inclusive of race, gender, class, ethnicity, culture, age, ability, and sexual orientation.
